Story: Finding the Right Artist

When it came time for me to get inked for the first time, the hardest part wasn't deciding on the tattoo. It was finding the right artist. This wasn't about just walking into any spot and picking someone at random. It was about finding a guy who could bring what i had in my mind to life, someone who spoke the same visual language as I did.

I started by diving deep into different tattoo styles. I wasn't just browsing; I was looking for something that hit the mark, something that felt like me. It wasn't long before I realized that the style I was drawn to wasn't just about the art itself, but about finding an artist whose vibe matched mine.

Looking through portfolios became routine. I wasn't just checking out their work; I was trying to get a sense of who they were as artists. Did their passion for the craft come through? Could I see my idea fitting into their body of work? It was less about finding perfection and more about finding a connection.

It was clear when I found THE ARTIST who not only got my idea but was as excited about it as I was.

One thing I never overlooked was the cleanliness. This wasn't just about getting a my first tattoo; it was also about making sure my skin was in good hands. A clean work area was a non-negotiable for me.

Talking about money was always a bit awkward, but it had to be done. I wasn’t looking for a bargain. I was looking for value, for someone whose work was worth it.

Finding the right tattoo artist taught me a lot about what I valued in art and in people. When I finally found the right guy, it wasn’t just about agreeing on a price or a design. It was about starting a project with someone who understood exactly what I was looking for.

If you’re on the hunt for your tattoo artist, take your time. This is someone who’s going to mark your skin for life. Make sure it’s someone you trust, someone who gets you. And when you find that artist, you’ll know. It’s not just about the ink; it’s about the experience, the story you’ll tell about how that tattoo came to be.
